Project Arborist Services

With a building plan we are able to make an arborist report for your building permit requirements. Determining the impact of your build on the sites protected trees while tailoring your report to the municipality your project is located in. 

Many municipalities require that there be an Arborist onsite when the demolition of a structure is being undertaken. We provide the necessary supervision with an accompanying report of assurance, also known as a comfort letter, which is tailored to the municipality your project is located in.

Any time there is any excavation near or in a critical root zones many municipalities require there to be arborist monitoring of the activity. We provide the required monitoring with an accompanying impact report detailing the impact, if any, and the requirements to remedy the damage. 

The majority of excavation in or near critical roots cause damage to the roots. A requirement by most municipalities is to remedy the damage before the excavation can be passed. This requires the damaged roots to be root pruned by an ISA Certified Arborist to ISA's Standards. A service that we provide same day onsite after the excavation is finished. This speeds up the process of the excavation passing.

All municipalities in the Greater Vancouver Regional District require that tree protection barriers or fencing be erected around the critical roots zones of all on and off site trees, which can sometimes include city boulevard trees. This is a service we provide, making custom built fences to fit your project requirements.  

When trees are approved to be removed to accommodate the building requirements. The Municipality will require that replacement trees be planted with specific requirements of how and where they can be planted. The replacement tree ratios range from municipality to municipality. This requires there to be a custom replacement tree plan for each build to make sure they fit within the new site soft scape and meet the municipalities requirements.
