Arborist Supervision/Monitoring
Many cities require that in order for any demolition or excavation near a critical root zone or tree protection barrier be approved. A ISA Certified Arborist needs to be on site monitoring the demolition or excavation. This is to make sure that the critical root zone of the protected tree be protected as required by the city bylaw.
The ISA Certified Arborist will monitor and document the work done and record in a report with photos what impact there was if any. The goal is to make sure the protected trees root system be protected and not to allow any unnecessary damage occur during the demolition or excavation.
We follow ISA's best management practices, which are the gold standards across the globe.
Once the demolition or excavation is complete, the monitoring arborist will assess the damage to the critical root zone and make sure that all of the damaged roots are properly pruned in order for the roots to compartmentalize and heal properly. Then the Arborist writes a comfort letter or post demolition or excavation arborist report and will follow up with the developer or directly with the city with the report about said project.

All of our reports are made to municipal bylaws and ISA best management practices.
